One Cow against five Piglets

One day walked down to the river and I saw a sage sitting at the side of it.Next to the sage was a big pile of garbage.Suddenly there came five little piglets, searching in the garbage pile for food. The sage became very angry. He started to shout and to curse at the piglets. But the piglets didn't care and just continued to feast. So the sage picked up a stone and threw it at the pigs. But the stone missed and the pigs continued to feast on the garbage. Then there came a small boy. He picked up a stone and threw. The stone hit one of the little pigs on the back. The pig that was hit queaked very loud and all the pigs ran away in terror and fear. The sage was excited. He stood up and clapped in applause. Then the small boy walked away and the little pigs came back. The sage continued to shout and to swear at them while they continued to feast on the garbage pile. Then there appeared a young cow on the garbage pile. The cow lowered her horns and charged at the little pigs. The little pigs retreated a little bit and then came back. The young cow charged again, and again and again, untill all the little pigs had been chased away from the garbage pile. Then the young cow started to eat with great relish.

The Sage and the Pig

One day I walked down the steps to the river and I saw how a sage was taking a bath in the river. Suddenly a pig broke loose from somewhere, jumped exhuberantly into the river and threw itself around in the water next to the sage. The sage became very angry and raised threatingly one arm into the air. The pig was struck with unmitigated terror, swam hurriedly back to the shore and ran quickly into the bushes. The sage finnished his bath, wrapped his robes around himself and walked away with unmatchable dignity.

The Image of the Lord of Kedar

I had already practiced with the Shouting Master for some time, when one day I decided that I would visit a shrine in the high mountains. I spend one day on a bus. From where the bus dropped me I had to climb a steep mountain path. The path followed the edge of a deep gorge. Suddenly a packhorse broken loose came gallopping straight towards me. I quickly raised my wandering stick into the air. The animal slowed down and changed the side of the path. The next moment I saw an eagle gliding past, covering all the distance to the far side of the valley, then disappearing beyond a ridge in the distance. Shortly after lunchtime I arrived at the shrine. I entered the shrine and looked at an image of the Lord of Kedar. Then I turned around to leave the shrine. In this moment I saw a ridiculously fat rat trying to hide at the feet of an image of the Hero Bhima. Some days later, I returned to continue to practice with the Shouting Master.
